Mary Landon's origins have yet to be established. One possibility is that she was the Mary Landan baptised at Willen in Buckinghamshire on 31st March 1776.

Mary's first confirmed sighting is on 15th May 1811, when she married William Lewis at Willen. They went on to have a son, also called William, baptised at Willen the following December. They have yet to be traced after young William's baptism.
