    ABEL -- Died, at Norwich, on the 10th of February, Mary Kellas, beloved wife of Alexander Abel, aged 69 years.
    Our deceased siste was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She, with her husband came to this country, and setttled in the Township of Simcoe in the year 1853, afterwards removing to Norwich. Until within six years they were members of the Presbyterian Church. But when the Baptist Church was organized here, about seven years ago the subject of baptism was brought to their attention. For one winter, almost nightly, they studied the Scriptures that they might find out whether or not infant sprinkling was baptism. They came to the conclusion, that the baptism of the Bible, was the immersion of the believer in water on a profession of his faith in Jesus Christ. Following their conviction of truth and duty, husband and wife were baptized at the same time by Rev. H. Woodward, and leaving the "old kirk" they cast in their lot with the Baptist Church newly organized in the town. ...
