Tenn Services for Mrs. Charlie Marlowe, 80, of Gibson County, will be at 2 P.M. today at Eldad Baptist Church. Burial will be in White Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Marlowe, the former Maggie Jackson, died Monday night in Western State Hospital. She was a native of Humphreys County, daughter of William Browder Jackson and Martha (Mattie) Nichols Jackson. She had lived near Humboldt the past 50 years. Mrs. Marlowe first was married to W.H. Holley, who died in 1955. Later she married to Marlowe, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Lee Flowers (Holley) of Denver,Tenn, and Mrs Gladys Stokes (Holley) of Jackson, Tenn; four sons, William Jefford Holley of Elkhart, Ind, Clifford and Luther Valentine Holley of Jackson, Tennessee and Clarence Holley of Humboldt, a brother John Jackson of Denver, Tenn, 39 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Maggie was preceded in death by daughters Mattie Lu Holley (Forrest) in 1952 and Nettie Holley at a young age. References
