  13. here they purchased a farm for $7 per acre. Land once owned by the son ofNathaniel Golden, who had died in 1848. The farm boardered the shores of"Golden Lake." Henry donated land from this farm for the site of presentday Mt. Zion church and Mt. Zion cemetery

At an early age she moved with her parents toSeneca county, O., and was there united in marriage with Henry Ritter.They moved to Steuben county in 1851. To them were born five children,four daughters and one son. In early life she united with the Reformchurch and has lived a faithful, christian life. Funeral services wereheld at Mt. Zion, conducted by Rev. Barton"
