Claybaugh -- At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Lilly, on Union Street on Thursday morning, February 21, 1884, Mrs. Virginia, wife of William Claybaugh aged 42 years.       Mrs. Clabaugh removed to this city, with her husband and two daughters, some three or four months since, and during her brief sojourn in Decatur had gained the respect and esteem of many friends. But she was in delicate health, consumption having marked her for a victim, and she doubtless was aware that her time here could not be long. She leaves a devoted husband and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate wife and mother. Her remains will be taken to Elmwood, Peoria County, today, for internment -- her parents and most of her relatives being residents of that town and vicinity.
