Mrs. Nathan Tyler, whose maiden name was Mary Mariah Goudy, was born in Wabash county, IN, April 15, 1850, and at her death was aged 77 years, 6 months and 28 days.

She leaves to mourn a husband, two daughters, Mrs. George Read of Mansfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Emma Stotts of near Lexington, Ohio; and one son, Thomas Kiner, of Cassopolis. There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also three step-daughters, Mrs. Russell Hertsell of Mishawaka, Mrs. Charles Rarick, of Fort Wayne, IN, and Mrs. Alva Middaugh of Howardsville, MI one step-son, Bert Tyler of Mishawaka; a number of step-grandchildren, all of who she loved. There remains one brother, William Goudy, of Whitley County, IN, two half-sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Hunter of Fort Wayne, IN, and Mrs. Julia Yentz of Whitley county, IN; one half-brother, John Egner of Columbia City, IN

Mrs. Tyler had been for many years a patient sufferer, ever and always willing to give of her earthly possesions to those dear to her. Borne up under affliction with the greatest of bravery, courage and patience. She departed this life Nov. 18, 1927, greeting her friends and family with smiles that can never be forgotten.
