Mary's Identity

FamilySearch Family Tree shows Mary Glanvil the wife of Samuel Phillips as the daughter of Johnson Glanvill and Hannah Hensely of Cambourne, Cornwall. While this is possible, there are sources for the baptisms of Johnson and Hannah's other children, but none can be found for Mary. (FamilySearch Family Tree also erroneously assigns this Mary the birth information of Mary Glanvil of Mawgan-in-Pydar.)

It is highly unlikely that the wife of Samuel Phillips was the daughter of Samuel and Gillian Glanvil of Mawgan-in-Pydar, Cornwall, who almost certainly married Nathaniel Brewer (in Mawgan-in-Pydar) in 1776.
