Friendship, Dec. 14 - At the family residence on Elm avenue, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, funeral services were held for Mrs. Mary Britton, 78, of this place, who died at the home of her son, Homer Britton at Gary, Ind., Friday morning. Rev. Marts Snyder, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. Pallbearers, members of the Masonic fraternity, were Malcolm O. Mason, Fred L. Utter, Fred R. King, W. Allen Barber, Charles A. Philbrick and Allen J Philbrick.
Mrs. Britton had been a resident of Friendship for many years and was the widow of the late Jason N. Britton, who died in October, 1922. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Williamson of Friendship, one son, Homer of Gary, Ind., two granddaughters, Miss Elizabeth Williamson of Alfred and Mrs. Christine Lacey and two grandchildren of Friendship. A niece, Miss Ina Britton of Ellicottville, also survives.
