From the will (reading from a true copy) of father William Ellot (date 19 Dec 1714, proved 15 Sep 1721): ....I do give (after the Decease of my Wife) unto my son in law James Downey his heirs & Assique my plantation with the of improvements, on the condition, following (that is to say)he shall pay unto my Daughter Ann Shallcross the sum of ten pounds, & unto my Daughter ElisabethDowdney the sum of ten pounds, & unto my Daughter Mary Hawkings the sum of tenn pounds, and ...........[Phillip A. Hawkins, 01 Oct 2009] ...................... Andrew Ellot, seller of small wares, and Ann his wife, of the parish of Fifehead, Dorset, Somerset County, England, arrived at the Delaware River in the ship Factor of Bristol, Master Roger Drew, with servants John Roberts and Mary Sanders. Reached Newcastle on December 15, 1681. This was the ship that carried commissioners appointed by William Penn. Maybe a brother of William??
