Mrs. Mary Catherine Hays, 99, of Sheridan, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Sheridan Healthcare Center in Sheridan.
Mrs. Hays was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Boone County, to Dora and Zula (Eisenhower) Dulin. She was a graduate of Whitestown High School.
She married Floyd A. Hays on Jan. 20, 1934; he survives.
Mrs. Hays was a homemaker and she assisted her husband with farming.
She was a member of the Terhune United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Arnold (Thelma) Hays of Pendleton and Donald Hays of Cicero; one daughter, Vonda (Lowell) Shelburne of Sheridan; and one nephew, two nieces, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Donna Hays; son-in-law, Bob Cherry; and two brothers, six sisters and both parents.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Terhune United Methodist Church. Celebration of life memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at the church, with the Rev. Frank Ciampa officiating. Final disposition will occur at a later date.
