1834 - Burial: Mary Hill JAMES, (widow of Wm JAMES, late of Portreath, Cornwall) aged 65 years, of Mill Lane, Tooley St, Parish called St Olave, Southwark, Surrey, died 31 December 1833, buried 5 January in Quaker burial ground, Long Lane, Bermondsey.

1832 - Will: This is the last Will and Testament of me ... Mary Hill James widow now residing in the City of London being in health of body and of sound mind memory and understanding ... following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my son William Hill James one hundred pounds lawful money of ... Great Britain which sum ... the said Willm Hill James borrowed of me in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight and also the interest due thereon at the time of my decease also I give ... and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Hill Tippett my house at Redruth situate in Hoskings Row and also one sixteenth part or share in a vessel called the Dasher of which I am part owner and also one half share or ... in all my furniture also I give ... and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza Hill Wallis my house at Camborne situate in Vivyan's Row also my meadow? land situate in Portreath in the County of Cornwall also one half ... or share in in all my furniture. All the rest and residue of my money goods chattels and effects of what value or .... I give to and bequeath unto my said daughters Mary Hill Tippett and Eliza Hill Wallis to be equally divided between them share and share alike as to the ... of my said daughters .... for their separate uses respectively and to separate and apart from their respective husbands and i do nominate and appoint my said daughters Mary Hill Tippett and Eliza Hill Wallis executrixes of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all and every other will or wills at any time heretofore by me made and I do declare this to be my last will and testament .. in witness whereof I ... set my hand and seal this eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two. 1834 - Will proved: Proved at London on 7th March 1834 before the Worshipful John Danbelly? Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by Eliza Hill Wallis (wife of James Wallis) the daughter one of the executrixes to whom admin was granted having first made a solemn and sincere declaration or affirmation according to the act of parliament duly to administer power reserved of making the life grant to Mary Hill Tippett (wife of Thomas Tippett) the daughter also the other executrix named in the will when she shall apply for the same.
