MRS. SMITH IS
BURIED HERE
Mrs. Mary Louise Smith, 42, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dixon of Davis died March 30 in Bethany following a serious illness.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Christian church of Putnam City. Rev. Dunn, Pastor, and Rev. R. P. Sherry of Davis officiated. Arrangements were by Bill Merritt Funeral Home. Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill cemetery, Davis.
Mrs. Smith was born in Davis on Aug. 18, 1923, and graduated from Davis high school in 1942. She was employed in the local post office before moving from Davis to establish a home in Bethany.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Virgil of the home; two sons, Harold, stationed in Maryland with the Navy, and Bill of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Jean Snyder, and agranddaughter Tammie.
Davis residents attending the services in Bethany were Rev. and Mrs. Paul Sherry, Mrs. W. H. Drake, Mrs. Bill Lowry, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Sadler.
Relatives and out-of-town friends attending the graveside services in Davis were Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Stack and sons Bob and James of Lubbock, Tex.; James Klapp of Redding, Calif.; Ramona Hill of Jackson, Miss.; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hill of Mont Rose, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Dixon, jr., of Tulsa; Dorothy Dixon and Peggy Hill of Ada; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Mitchell of Ardmore, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Klapp ofDallas, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Raunsaville and Mrs. Hortense Jackson, all of Konawa.
