Mrs.. Mary Jeneta Runk of Three Springs, R.D., passed away at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Berlyn Black. She was born on September 23, 1875, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Julia (Nonemaker) Culbertson. Her husband, Samuel Runk of Three Springs, R.D., preceded her in death on June 24, 1935. Mrs. Runk was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren of Germany Valley.
Surviving are the following children: Landis Runk of Huntingdon, Noah Runk of Three Springs, R.D., James Runk of Huntingdon, Lila (Mrs. Berlyn Black), Mose Runk and Carl Runk, all of Three Springs, R.D., Denver Runk of Hustontown and Marie (Mrs. Richard Cutshall) of Chambersburg. Nineteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Runk was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ott's funeral home in Orbisonia with the Rev. Howard Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be made in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clay Township.
