m. Abt 1849 - Mary Ann CubbinAbt 1849 -
Facts and Events
Deemed most likely to be a daughter of unmarried Esther Cobham/Cubbin. Orphaned Esther is living with Aunt Jane in the prior 1841 census, and in the subsequent 1851 census working as a servant at a nearby residence. She would have been 16-17 when Mary was born.
Potential other option is being the daughter of an as-yet undiscovered child of Hugh and Ann; there is certainly a gap between their marriage and their (currently) documented first child Esther.
