"Mary Frances Schuler, aged sixty eight years, the wife of Lorenzo Schuler, of St. Joe township, died yesterday afternoon at 4 oclock at the family home, six miles north of this city, after an illness of eleven days from a complication of diseases. She was born Dec 27, 1844 in St Joe township and had spent her entire life there. She was married to Lorenzo Schuler Feb 13 1865 at St. Michael's Catholic church. Of fourteen children ten survive, as follows: Casper, of Iowa, Charles, John, Albert and Lawrence, at home; Mrs. Joseph Traut at home, Mrs Cyrus Faulkner, of Wayne township,; Mrs. Chester Faulkner, at home; Mrs. Sylvester Sarragan of this city, and Mrs. Lyman Rees of Chicago. Thirty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Schuler was a devout member of St. Vincent's Catholic church."Obituary. Fort Wayne News, Feb 28, 1913

Death followed an illness of eleven days from complications. Mrs. Schuler had been a life-long resident of Allen County. She was born December 27, 1844 in St. Joe township. She was married to Lorenzo Scdhuler Feb. 12, 1865 at St. Michel's Catholic church and the ceremonoy was solemnized by the Rev Father Ben??? Ten of the fourteen children born to the union survive. They are: Casper Schuler of Iowa; Charles , John, Albert and Lawrence, at home; Mrs. Cyrus Faulkner of Wayne township; Mrs. Chester Faulkner, at home; mrs. Sylvester Sarragan of this city and Mrs. Layman Rees of Chicago. Thirty-five grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Schuler was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and on of the best known women of St. Joe township. Funeral services Monday morning at 8:30 oclock from the residence, and at 10 o'clock from St. Vincent's Catholic church at Academie. Interment at St. Vincent's cemetery.:"
