  5.   Death Notice.

    obit from Orillia Packet and Times; Feb. 13, 1947, p. 4: MRS. JAMES CROSBY- after a lingering illness the death occurred on Saturday, February 1 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Kelly, Brechin, of Mary Crosby. wife of the late James Crosby in her 95th year. She leaves two sons, William of Brechin; John of Richmond Hill: and three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Kelly, (Catherine) of Brechin: Mrs. Raymond Burbee (Susan) of Niagara Falls, New York: Mrs. Patrick Merrifield (Elizabeth) of London, Ontario: and forty- eight grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Reid of Toronto. The funeral was held on Monday Feb. 3, from the home of her daughter Mrs. Thomas Kelly to St. Andrew's church, Brechin, where requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Basil Sullivan. The pallbearers were six grandsons, James Burbee, Michael and Emmett Crosby, Peter, Thomas and Gerard Kelly. Interment was made in St. Andrew's cemetery.
