Mary E. Clark Smith, 91, of Burlington and formerly of Columbus Junction died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Great River Medical Center - Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born July 16, 1925, in Louisa County she was the daughter of Clair and Hazel Stone Clark. On February 14, 1948, she married Russell Smith in Nashua, Iowa. They later divorced.
Mary graduated from Columbus Junction High school in 1943 and then graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1946.
Mary was an Industrial Registered Nurse at various businesses retiring in 1987. She was of the Methodist Faith.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son Bruce, three brothers and one sister.
