  5. Pierce's birthdate of 6 Oct 1713 cannot be found. In Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Peirce Genealogy : Being the Record of the Posterity of John Pers, an Early Inhabitant of Watertown, in New England, Who, p. 48, he gives the birth of Mary Chadwick who married Jacob Pierce as 16 Oct 1713. Oddly in neither place does he identify her parents. Watertown Records show the birth of a Mary Chadwick on 15 Oct 1713, but she is a daughter of John Chadwick and Hannah Barstow. The TAG article says this is the Mary who married Jacob Pierce, but then seems to contradict itself by saying the daughter of Ebenezer Chadwick m. W. Whitney (the marriage record implying the same woman married both, hence this doesn't make sense). The authoritative source seems to be NEHGR, vol. 124, p. 11, "The Family of Ebenezer Chadwick", which points out that the admission record found in Weston Church records for Mary Chadwick, "dau. of Eb.", p. 446, notes she is now the wife of W. Whitney. And the 3rd accounting of the estate of Jacob Pierce, Middlesex Probate 17478, dated 19 Nov 1744, is submitted by "Mary Pierce (now Whitney)". In the previous accounting 12 Jan 1740, she was simply Mary Pierce.
