OBITUARY: Mary Bookshar Trimbath, 97 of Tower Hill I passed away Wednesday, Jan 5 1994, in McKnight's Personal Care Home, Shady Grove. She was born Feb 7, 1896, in Coalbrook, Fayette, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Steven and Susan Bookshar. She was a member of Holy Rosary, R.C. Church in Republic and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She and her husband were one of the original families who settled in Tower Hill I. Surviving are two sons, George Trimbath of Lemont Furnace and Joseph Trimbath of Republic; two daughters, Ann Marasco of Republic and Margaret Guerke of Glen Burnie, Md; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Charles Trimbath, on Jan 141987; a son, Paul Trimbath, in 1972 three sisters, Ann Tomatacho, Susan Ondick and Katherine Khula, and three brothers, Andrew, Michael and John Bookshar. Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, Legion Street, Republic, Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 9:30a.m., when a prayer service will be held, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m., in Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Gregory J. Flohr as celebrant. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. Parish wake service is scheduled Sunday at 7:30 p.m. (Source: Republic Newspaper) Burial Sunset Layfayette Memorial Park, Brownsville, Garden Lot #341 Grams family is from Slovakia, although she was born in the US. She grew up in Coldbrook, Pennsylvania and took her first communion at the age of 9 in Connelsville church. Her father John, donated the lot for the church in Republic. Grams was a very lively girl, who refused to marry until she was 21. She said she was having gay old time going to parties and playing the accordion and piano at dances. Finally her parents said it was time to settle down and get married. Grams mother was a mid-wife and Grams always wanted to be a doctor. (Notes cited from conversations with MargoTrimbath) References
