"Meir, Mary V. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 2, at Holy Family Catholic church for Mary Victoria Meir, 84, of Rose city, who died Monday, October 29, at Tolfree Memorial hospital after an extended illness. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery following services officiated by the Rev. Grodon Garske. Mrs. Meir was a member of the Altar Society of Holy Family church. She was an Ogemaw County resident for 75 years. Surviving are three sons, Andrew of Grand Rapids, Frederick of West Branch, and Clarence of Rose City; one daughter, Mrs Charles (Francis) Cleveland of Detroit; one brother, Linus Braundridel of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Oberliesen of Detroit; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren."
