Facts and Events
The ages of the parents in the 1841 and 1851 censuses do not link. The only marriage for the parents found was 1816 with the bride named Mary Sykes. No trace could be found of her baptism. Ages of brides and grooms at the time of marriage were not registered until 1837.
Even the ages for the parents in the 1841 censuses do not link with the ages of Mary Ann and Martha.
It is possible that Joseph married twice, but there is no evidence of this.
