[Unfortunately Pierce chooses not to report the marriage date to Mrs. Ann Varney, even though it is in Ipswich VR. It is given there as 10 Dec 1767, which is obviously incompatible with the Ashburnham death date of Moses' second wife, reported both by Pierce and Ashburham VR as 1777. An explanation of this discrepancy is needed.]
