↑ This is the only record of a Mary Bird found that matches the age at death. Since she is called Miss in the marriage, that possibly rules out a previous marriage prior to this marriage. However, this is all speculative, since no conclusive identification can be made. The birth record, showing what appears to be an unmarried mother, indicates further identification might be difficult to track down. The mother may perhaps be the daughter of Elisha Davenport of Dorchester who herself did not marry until 1768 to Daniel Fairn/Farn/Fern, and d. 1780 NEHGR, Vol. 33, p. 32; Dorchester VRs, p. 230, 168.
