  4. 4.0 4.1 Rev. Morse says she died 1700 at Sherborn. The vital records entry does not identify which Jonathan was husband of the Mary who died 1726/27. The only other Jonathan Morse at Sherborn at that time was the son of Jonathan and Mary (Barber) Morse who married Jane Whitney in 1693. Their youngest child was born 1710/11 and there is no evidence of a second marriage for the younger Jonathan. The deaths of Jonathan and Jane (Whitney) Morse are not recorded at Sherborn.
