"Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Vol. 17, Isaac Allerton", published in 1998, says that "recent research" on a line based on a "purported daughter Mary" of Isaac Allerton II and Elizabeth Willoughby indicates that this line is "highly unlikely" (p. 8) [even though the Mayflower Society has accepted members based on this line]. Only three children for Isaac Allerton II and Elizabeth Willoughby are shown in the book. They are: Willoughby, Frances, and Sarah. It says that Allerton Newton is the son of Sarah Lee Allerton who "apparently married" (p. 22) Joseph Newton, son of John Newton. The book states that Allerton Newton "apparently" died young. After Sarah Lee Allerton's first husband died (the father of Allerton Newton), she married Hancock Lee.
