Mrs. Mary (Allen) Gramling, 85 years, passed away on April 17, 2003, in her South Toledo Home. Mary, born in Lima, OH was the widow of Joseph A. Gramling, owner of Gramling Brothers Meats. She was a 1936 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and a graduate of Tri-State Business College. She worked for many years as a stenographer and secretary in the offices of The DeVilbiss Mfgr. Co, in Columbus, for the Auditor of the State of OH, at Gulf Refining Company, the Lucas CO Clerk of Courts, and the City of Toledo Police Division and Law Department. She retired in 1982. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, she belonged to the Daughters of Mary and The Hospitality Kitchen. She also belonged to the Toledo Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by sons, Joseph A. (Chris) of Rochester, MI and John J. (Audrey) of Roswell, GA and by daughters, Mary Louise (Patrick) Glynn of Swanton, OH, Therese (Randy) VanBuskirk of Winter Haven, FL, Noreen (Jake) Shank of Northwood, OH, Regina (Greg) Greene of Westchester, OH and sixteen grandchildren and a great-grandson. Also surviving is brother, John (Marie) Allen of Farmington Hills, MI and brother-in-law, Raymond Miller of Northwood, OH The family wishes to give great thanks to Mary's amazing and kind caretakers, Mary and Nancy and the staff of the Hospice Association of Northwest OH. Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 So. Reynolds Road, Sunday from 2-9 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin in the mortuary Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 a.m. Interment Calvary cemetery. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Northwest OH Hospice Association or the Church. |
