    Lockwood, Missouri - Marvin Gaillard Rector, 68, Lockwood, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at a Greenfield nursing home after a two-year illness.

    Mr. Rector was born August 28, 1918, at Milford. He had lived in the Barton County area since the 1940s. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a safety supervisor and truck driver for North American Van Lines. He was a member of Cedarville Community Church at Dade County.

    Survivors include a son, Mike Rector, Lamar; a stepdaughter, Janet Nauta, Bethesda, Maryland; a grandchild; three step grandchildren; and two great-step grandchildren.

    The body will be cremated.

    No services are planned.
