Personal History

Martin Perry was born 11 June 1807 (calculated from his age at death), probably in Ohio co., in the state of Virginia (eventually West Virginia).[4]

By the 1820 U.S. census, his parents' family had removed to Short Creek township, Harrison co., Ohio.[3]

First Marriage and Family

A marriage license was issued 9 February 1833 by the court clerk of Harrison co., Ohio, to Martin Perry and Margaret Wilkin, both of Harrison co. They were married 12 February 1833, in Harrison co., by John Rea V.D.M.

By the 1840 U.S. census, the family had moved to Lancaster township, Wells co., Indiana.

Martin Perry and Elizabeth Nash were married 1 April 1853, in Wells co., Indiana, by Rev. W. M. Donaldson.

Death and Probate

Martin died 28 March 1870, and he was buried in Murray Cemetery, in Lancaster township,[1] beside his first wife.
