Martin Crane

Maquoketa, Ia. -- Special: Martin Crane, 74, retired Jackson County farmer, died at his home here shortly before midnight Friday morning following a several months' illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning from the Harrison Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. J.A. Mullen, pastor, celebrating the requiem mass. Burial will be in the Otter Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Crane was born June 3, 1865, near Otter Creek and on April 21, 1896, was married to Ellen McDonald. They lived on a farm near Otter Creek until they retired and moved to Maquoketa.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mary, at home; a son, Joe of LaMotte; two sisters, Mary of Chicago and Mrs. Elizabeth McLaughlin of Fulton; and two step-brothers, Thomas Lamb of Otter Creek and Ben Lamb of So. Garryowen.
