Arrived in New York aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam from Le Havre on 01 September 1948.

Martha Wardwell Berryman passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 15th, 2005 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Concord, Massachusetts on February 28th, 1927, she moved to California after graduating from Connecticut College, working in San Francisco. She and her husband Bob moved to Greenbrae in 1962. Marty was active in her community, including coaching her daughters in sports, playing tennis, joining the PTA, and singing. Marty joined Sweet Adelines in the 1980s, and traveled great distances to practice and compete. In 1999 Marty and Bob moved to El Dorado Hills, and she became involved with El Dorado Hills Newcomers, bridge and social activities.

Marty will best be remembered for her kind loving nature, her quick wit, her intelligence and love of grammar, and her athletic prowess.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, and is survived by her three daughters Anne Berryman, Barbara Gisler, and Carol Misso, by her sister Barbara Wardwell, her sons-in-law Ernie Gisler and Paul Misso, and grandchildren Bailey Gisler, Kellie Gisler, Dane Misso, and Kenzie Misso.

There will be a private funeral and a joyous memorial to take place in the near future. Please contact the family for information.
