   Listed with her husband as Martha, age 58 born in TN (1812). She is a housekeeper (for themselves).

   17 Jun 1880.

   With husband, Martha is 68. Born in Tennessee, father born in Tennessee, mother born in North Carolina.

   Wm. S. Davis is listed in Webber Township. He is 44 years old and born in TN (1816). He is a farmer who has $400 worth of real estate and $225 worth of personal goods. He is listed with wife, Martha, 4 children: George D., Nancy J., Anna F., Mary J. and 2 boarders: George C. (age 27) and Caroline (age 19) Miller. George is a carpenter with $150 personal property, born in Germany. Caroline was born in MO. (I forgot to check if Caroline could be his daughter.)

   William Davis married Martha Kilburn 22 Jan 1835, Lawrence Co., Tennessee.

   This is the only evidence that this is the Martha that married William S. Davis of this family. It could be that they are not the same person, though the timing is about right, the location is far from their latter known home in Monroe Co., TN. Also a Wm. Davis is listed in the 1830 census for Lawrence Co., but we are pretty sure our Wm. S. was living in Monroe Co. in 1830.
