Martha Ford arrived aboard the Fortune in 1621 -- the first ship to arrive after the Mayflower. She gave birth almost immediately upon arriving to son John. The name of her husband has not survived, but he seems to have died on the voyage or shortly thereafter. Her Ford children, John and Martha, appear with her and Peter in the 1627 division of cattle. By the time Peter died in 1633, he had remarried a woman named Mary and had two children with her, so it is thought Martha died by about 1631.
