MARRIAGE: Copied from records in Keokuk County, Iowa William Riley Bales and Miss Martha Towell July 12, 1844 This is to certify that in this 29th day of June A.D. 1844 William Riley Bales of the one part were legally joined in marraige and Martha Towell of the other part in Richland town by me justice of the peace in and for the county of Keokuk. Mr. Bales was 18 teen of Feb. 28th of Feb. last. Miss Bales was 16 years. the first of Feb. last. Given under my hand June 29, 1844. Signed Thomas Frazier Justice of the Peace
