Martha Hart Sept. 17, 1918 -- July 22, 2003 ------ Beloved mother and grandmother, Martha Hart of Gibsonburg, died Tuesday mo rning at H.B Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was 84. She was born in International Falls, Minn., to Harry and Irene (Pravitz) R andall. A graduate of Rayburn High School in Minneapolis, she obtained a d egree in dental hygiene from the University of Minnesota. During World War II, Martha worked at Fort Sill, Oklahoma., and Williams F ield, Az, supporting the war effort. Afterwards, she moved to Gibsonburg and married Wm J Hart in March 1946. A fter the death of her husband in 1955, she resumed working as a dental hyg ienist in Fremont. In the ensuing years, she became active in the Fremont Community Theate Martha was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg, Daughte rs of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. She was also an a ccomplished singer and enjoyed researching genealogy and hunting for coin s. Above all, Martha loved her children. Surviving are her children Barbara Parke of Uniontown OH, Susan Buckho lz of Toledo, Wm R of Ann Arbor MI., Stephen of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Thom as S of Harpswell, Maine; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Pr eceding her are her parents, husband and sister Florence Wiechman. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonbur g. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rev. David J. Claass en will officiate. Burial: N Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorials: Sandusky CO Humane Society. |
