According to the Ellis Island Passenger list Paulina Kontak and her daughter Martha , age 7 months, arrived on September 24, 1901 on the Maasdam from Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands. They indicated that they were going to live with their husband and father A. Kontak at 21 Jefferson St. Passaic, NJ. She had been living in Solomyak. She was listed as US born but the 1910 census and family recollections say she was born in Russia.
