GRAHAM – Mrs.. Martha Kellam Holt, 82, of Lacy Holt Road, Graham, died at 12:45 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2002, at the residence of her daughter, Marie Hyde, 2326 Knightdale Drive, Graham after a critical illness of two weeks.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Orpha Sharpe Kellam and Marvin Kellam Sr. She was the wife of Millard Russell Holt for over fifty years who preceded her in death on January 16, 1998. She had been employed at Comfort Inn in Burlington for thirteen years and before that was employed at Collins & Aikman in Graham. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Marie Holt Hyde, one son, Howard Holt and wife, Deannie all of Graham; three grandchildren, Grant Sawyer of Oakboro, Jennifer Holt Small and husband Bryan of Burlington and Kinberly Holt of Graham; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Holt, Brandon and Justin Small; two sisters, Vivian Greeson and husband Vance of Burlington, and Rachel Ingleheim of Graham; three brothers, Marvin Kellam Jr.. and wife, Frances, Brodice Kellan and wife Nancy of Burlington, and her twin brother, Maurice Kellam and wife Helen of Graham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two sisters, Geneva Kellam and Helen Wood and one brother, Gaither Howard Kellam.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by Rev. Robert Stephenson, Associate Pastor of Glen Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 til 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and at other times at the home of the daughter, Marie Holt Hyde, 2326 Knightdale Drive, Graham.
