She was born on April 18, 1822 in Canterbury, Merrimack Co., New Hampshire. She died on March 5, 1894 in Tilton, Belknap Co., New Hampshire. She is buried in the «u»Park Cemetery«/u», Tilton, Belknap Co., New Hampshire. They had the following children: Royal Jeremiah Tilton was born on October 25, 1863 in Sanbornton, Belknap Co., New Hampshire. He died on January 4, 1896 in Seattle, King Co., Washington. Royal never married or had children. He probably attended college during the 1880's. He moved out west to Seattle and worked as a teacher. In 1890 he was living in Seattle and in 1891, he was living in Arlington, Washington and took a certification examination that year. Martha Lucretia Tilton was born on January 21 or 27, 1866 in Sanbornton, Belknap Co., New Hampshire. She died on October 30, 1944, probably in Elmira, Chemung Co., New York. She is buried in the «u»Park Cemetery«/u», Tilton, Belknap Co., New Hampshire. She never married or had any children. Martha worked for many years as an art professor at Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Before this it appears she was Director of the Art Institute of Chicago [Illinois] and also apparently taught at times in Rhode Island and Virginia.
