SLIGO - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hawk Funeral Home at Sligo for Mrs. Martha Louise Altman, 40, of Sligo RD2. She died Sunday in Clarion Hospital of injuries following a one-car accident early Saturday on Route 322, east of Shippenville. Mrs. Altman, wife of Charles Thompson Altman, was a passenger in a car driven by Edward Charles Schimp, 34, of Shippenville. Rev. Wayne Welston, pastor of the Church of God in Callensburg, will officiate. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery at Sligo. Mrs. Altman was born September 20, 1928, at Ford City, Armstrong County, a daughter of Ralph F. and Jennie C. Call Claypool of Knox RD2. She and Charles Thompson Altman were married August 20, 1948. He survives. Mrs. Altman was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church. Surviving along with her husband, Charles T. Atlman and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph F. Claypool of Knox RD2, are seven children, Charles Altman of Shippenville, Miles, David, William, Derek, Mark and Sheryl Diane Altman at home; six sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Georgia) Holes of Twin Lakes, Wis., Mrs. Richard (Wanda June) Copeland of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Ray (Judith) Strotman of Fort Devens, Mass., Mrs. Wayne (Lila) Culp, Mrs. William (Betty) Beck and Edith Claypool of Knox; three brothers, Ralph Claypool Jr. of Fryburg, Daryl claypool with the U.S. Army in Germany and Leslie J. Claypool of Knox. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Tuesday, June 24, 1969 Oil City Derrick.
