It has been stated that Thomas Lamar, Jr's wife was a sister of the Reverend John Urquhart, Recotr of All Faith Parish in St. Mary's County, but the marriage record and the record of the will of his sister, Eliza Blanford, show this belief to be incorrect and her surname to have been Blanford or Beven.[1]
