LETTER FROM IOWA

The Enterprise came to me yesterday conveying the sad news of the death of Mrs. Nettie Abell, of St. Marys, Ky., who departed this life one week ago. I have known Mrs. Abell for 20 years of more and I have never known a better Christian woman. She was a true, devoted member of the Holy Catholic church and has set a good example for her children to follow. She leaves several children, a husband and her mother to mourn her loss, besides her sisters, Mesdames Walter Cook, James Bean, Jefferson Nevitt and Miss Prudie Blair, all of Marion county, and one brother, Joseph Blair, of Illinois. Mrs. Abell was a daughter of Wilf and Mary Jane McCauley Blair. Weep not, father and children, for Nettie is not dead; only sleeping near the Heavenly throne. Oh!
