MARSHALL BONHAM DIED SEPT. 27
Marshall I. Bonham was born September 22, 1873, in Whitely county, Indiana, the oldest son of George C. and Mary Bonham.
He was married to Miss Clara Crumine in 1898 and they came to Michigan in 1910, settling on a farm near Clare, later moving to the farm in Colonville where he resided until four years ago, when he came to Clare to make his home with his sister Mrs. Etta Abbott, and her husband the late Thomas Abbott.
Two children died in infancy and his wife passed away in 1930. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
He was kind and loving and faithful friend to all who knew him, and since residing in Clare was a familiar figure on the streets, for his daily walk, to visit with the friends he would see. He took pneumonia and was ill only a month, and passed away, September 27 at the Mt. Pleasant hospital, where he has been for eight days.
Besides his sister, he leaves two brothers William and Ora Bonham of Kansas, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the Thurston Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with Rev. L. J. Nevins officiating and burial was beside his wife in Cherry Grove cemetery.
