Marjorie probably died of childbirth complications. She had a stillborn son, born on April 18, and she died 8 days later on April 26. Marjorie was the brother of Lawrence Arlington Smith. One of the witnesses at the stillborn child's burial was L. A. Smith. The father was Joseph or James H[enry] Smith and his mother-in-law Mary Flannery.
