Obituary - TOPEKA CAPITAL-JOURNAL, Sunday, April 1, 1999 Marjorie Carlson Marjorie Doretta Carlson, 82, Topeka, died Friday, April 9, 1999, at her home. She was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Topeka, the daughter of Luther R. and Hazel V. Spotts Lockenour. She was very active in several organizations with the West Side Baptist Church. She was married to Elvin M. Carlson on April 9, 1939, in Topeka. He survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, David K. Carlson, Gravois Mills, Mo., and Terry L. Carlson, Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren, and three grant-grandchildren. Services will be on 1:30 p.m. Monday at the West Side Baptist Church. Mrs. Carlson will lie in state at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the service time. Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
