2. Marion Frances Austin, 83, of Siloam Springs died Wednesday, Sept.27, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Bogard, Mo., toAubyn and Mary Ella Smith Carter. She married Ralph Austin on Dec. 24, 1942, in Kansas City. She wasaformer bookkeeper for T.H. Rogers Lumber Co. in Siloam Springs. Shewas a member of the Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Siloam Springs,where she and her husband were insturmental in starting the Just OlderYouth (J. O. Y.) Club. She hosted and led Bible studies and wasactivein the Women's Missionary Union. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Austin. Survivors include two sons and a daughter -in-law, Don Austin ofSiloam Springs and John Austin and Janet Austin of Fort Madison, Iowa;twosisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Lou Lewis of Topeka, Kan., andNona Toy and Ralph Toy of Mount Vernon, Mo.; three grandchildren,Jonathan Austin, Jason Austin, and Kirsten Kelly; and onegreat-grandchild, Katie Kelly; and special friends, Barbara and BillParker (sic, shouldbe Baker) of Denver, Colo. Visitation wil be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, atBackstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harvard Avenue Baptist Churchwith Brother Tad Thompson and Brother Dan Crenshaw. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
