Marie Anna was born in Dabo, Moselle on april 1879. At this time, Dabo was called Dagsburg and was in Germany as consequence of the Treaty of Frankfurt (1871). Marie Anna alongside with Charles Drüssel and their families decided to go join France. They settled in Guerpont, Meuse, France and married there on the 15th of September 1900. Marie Anna main language was Alsatian dialect.
