Marie A Steinmetz May 29, 1922 -- June 15, 2003

Marie A Steinmetz, 81, formerly of 9981 West Twp Rd 41, Fostoria, died Sun day morning at the St. Francis Home in Tiffin where she had resided for t he past seven years.

She was born in Berwick OH, to Henry and Ellen (Rogier) Holman. She marri ed Irvin C Steinmetz on May 29, 1938, at St. Patrick's Catholic Chur ch in Bascom and he died July 21, 1992.

A homemaker, Mrs. Steinmetz was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church a nd its Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the St. Franc is Home Auxiliary.

Surviving are sons James A Steinmetz of Helena, Thomas J Steinmetz of Fost oria and Joseph C Steinmetz of Carey; daughters Mrs. David (Kathleen M) Kr upp of Helena and Mrs. Lawrence (Marilyn M) Hoffman of Fostoria; 16 grandc hildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; and siste rs Mrs. Howard (Mae) Steyer of Fostoria and Mrs. Thomas (Agnes) Montgome ry of CA. She is preceded by her parents, brothers James, Evere tt and Elsworth Holman, sister Clara Cook and grandson Douglas Krupp.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Hoening Funeral Home. C LC services: 6 p.m. Christian wake services: 8:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, St. Wendelin Church, Fosto ria. Rosary services: 10 a.m.

Burial: St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
