    60, a resident of Palatine for more than ten years, will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 North Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1152 East Anderson Dr., Palatine.
    Mrs. Elkin, who was born January 30, 1936, in Chicago, died Friday, January 17, 1997, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Chicago. She had been an employee of the Park Ridge Park District for more than 17 years.
    Survivors include her daughters, Deborah A. (Spiro) Siavelis of Inverness and Jeanine Elkin of Naperville; grandchildren, Christine, Kelly, Adam, Derek and Courtney; brothers, Albert, Joseph, Raymond and Robert DeBock; sisters, Alice and Florence Walsh; and her former husband, Alvin Elkin.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Alice DeBock; and her brothers, Richard, Edmund and Lawrence DeBock.
    Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for the American Cancer Society, Northwest Suburban Unit, 625 North Court, Suite 280, Palatine, Ill. 60067-8162.
