!CENSUS: 1910 U.S. Census of Puerto Rico, Morovis, E.D. 152, Page 21. Mariano was a cattleman, or a buyer/ seller of herds of cattle. This Mariano Alfaro Rodriguez (in the Morovis census) is believed the same person from Utuado. The Morovis census says he was from Spain and immigrated to Puerto Rico in 1869. (Person giving the census information was mistaken, since Mariano's father in the census and the father of the Mariano born in Utuado were both born in Spain.) Mariano and Luana/ Juana had ten children, nine of which were living at the time of the census, and of which were listed on the census. The family is residing on Calle Del Comercio. Mariano and Juana had been married 30 years at the time of the census.

!CONFLICT: The age of Mariano in the census 60 years old, and the Mariano from Utuado is 67 years old. Not too far apart in age to be the same person, but not in complete agreement. Also, the Mariano in the census is shown to have been born in Spain, and immigrated in 1869 to Puerto Rico, while the Mariano from Utuado was definately born there (baptismal certificate).
