Marian Elizabeth Ferringer, 92, formerly of 110 Petroleum St., died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8,
2000, in Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli.
Born July 8, 1908, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Harry S. and Klare Laughner Weiser.
She was a 1926 graduate of Oil City High School.
Mrs. Ferringer worked as a secretary for Quaker State from July 1926 to October 1929. She retired
Jan. 1, 1974, as a secretary for the Reading School District, having worked there since September 1955.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City and was a former member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Reading.
Mrs. Ferringer had been a member of the Talbot Commandry Auxiliary, BPOE Auxiliary and the YWCA.
She first was married Oct. 25, 1929, to Earl A. Master, who died May 19, 1955. She then was married Dec. 24, 1974, to George K. Ferringer, who died Feb. 7, 1978.
Surviving are two sons, John Master of Wayne, Pa. and James Master of Bethesda, Md.; two grandsons, Gregory J. Master and Kevin E. Master; and five greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Ferringer was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Weiser and Robert L. Weiser; and two sisters, Lois K. Beatty and Kathleen M. Hutchison.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
