He seems to have been living in Bristol, Rhode Island. He travelled ba ck and forth to the old country. Marian comes to the U.S. Both his children are born here. After a whil e, he goes back to the Azores. His children, who are US citizens, at so me point, go to the U.S. Joe, his son, returns to the Azores with his wi fe because he is sickly and can't work and does not like it in the U.S. W hen Joe dies, his wife moves here with their children. After Marian's wi fe dies, his daughter sends for him to come to live in the U.S. He di es in Bristol, RI not long after.
